Joining YBB

How do I sign up?

It's really easy! The first step is to complete the YBB Book Match and then choose your subscription plan. Next, click "Create Account" and enter the same email address you used for the Book Match.

How do I give a gift?

Go to our YBB Book Match and select "Giving a Gift". From there, you will choose whether or not you want the recipient to know about the gift. Remember to order a subscription plan at the end.

When can I order?

We accept orders up until the last day of the previous month. For example, you need to order your July Box by June 30th.

When will I receive my box?

We ship each month's box in the middle of the month. You'll receive an email letting you know your box has shipped.

How does shipping work?

Shipping is always FREE! Currently, we only ship within the Continental U.S.

What is the subscription policy?

Each plan renews automatically. Unfortunately, there are no refunds on boxes that have been ordered already. To edit your plan, you must update your subscription status by the 20th of the month for the next month’s box. See how to skip, pause, or cancel your subscription below!

What's in each monthly box?

Each month you will receive a newly released, hardcover young adult book and a YBB bookmark. We believe the focus of your book box should be on just books, so that's it!

How are the books chosen?

Your books will be tailored to you based on your or your gift recipient's YBB Book Match results. Our expert team of curators carefully reviews each book to make sure it fits with your interests.

What should I do if my box arrives damaged?

Please fill out our Contact Us for with your order number and a description of the damage. A member of the YBB team will be in contact soon.


Managing My Account

I entered a different email addresses for the YBB Book Match and creating my account. What should I do?

No problem! Just fill out our Contact Us form with your account information and both emails. We will connect your Book Match results to your account from there.

I love my books, but need to catch up on my reading. How do I skip a month?

We get that life can be busy! To skip your next renewal, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the person icon to go to your account details
  2. Log into your account
  3. Under “Account Details” click “Subscriptions”
  4. Select the subscription you want to skip
  5. Under “Billing Schedule” click “Skip payment” next to the renewal you would like to skip

Please note that if your plan prepays for 3 or 6 months, skipping a payment will skip the following 3 or 6 months. With the monthly plan, you can skip a month individually.

Can I pause or cancel my subscription?

To pause or cancel your plan, you must update your subscription status by the 20th of the month for the next month’s box. For example, if you do not want a new subscription term to start in June, update the status by May 20th. To cancel, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the person icon to go to your account details
  2. Log into your account
  3. Under “Account Details” click “Subscriptions”
  4. Select the subscription you want to pause or cancel
  5. Select the “Pause my subscription” or “Cancel my subscription” button in the bottom right corner
  6. Your subscription status will now display “Paused” or “Canceled”
